Vallejo Clay Teaching Application

We are seeking talented and enthusiastic Ceramic Arts Teachers to join our team! Whether you specialize in wheel throwing, handbuilding, glazing techniques, or advanced ceramic practices, we want to hear from you.

We are looking for instructors who can foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment for students of all skill levels. If you have experience teaching ceramics and a love for the craft, this is an opportunity to share your knowledge and inspire creativity in others.

Position: Ceramic Arts Instructor

Location: 304 Georgia Street @ Vallejo Clay Workshop

Responsibilities:

Develop and deliver engaging lessons on a variety of ceramic techniques.
Create a positive, safe, and inspiring classroom environment.
Provide constructive feedback to students on their work.
Demonstrate technical skills and teach creative problem-solving.
Maintain organization of tools, materials, and classroom supplies.
Adapt lessons to meet the needs and interests of students.
Foster a supportive and encouraging community among students.

Qualifications:

Strong knowledge and experience in ceramic arts, including but not limited to wheel throwing, handbuilding, glazing, and firing processes.
Prior teaching or workshop experience is preferred but not required.
Ability to work with students of all ages and skill levels.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
A passion for teaching and inspiring others to create.
