Vallejo Clay Teaching Application

We’re looking for enthusiastic Ceramic Arts Instructors to join our team! Whether your strengths are in wheel throwing, handbuilding, glazing, or advanced techniques, we’d love to hear from you.

We value teachers who create a positive, inclusive, and engaging studio environment. If you have teaching experience, this is a great opportunity to grow and help others do the same.

Position: Ceramic Arts Instructor: Int/Advanced Wheel and Handbuilding for adults, Ceramic Arts Instructor for children.

Times: Seeking teachers and subs for the following 6 week session classes:

All-Levels Handbuilding: Tuesdays 5:30-8:30 PM
Int/Adv Wheel throwing: Wednesdays 5:30-8:30 PM
All-Levels Handbuilding: Thursdays 1-4 PM

Seeking teachers for children's after school classes, weekly summer camps, and school holiday classes. We do not have a set schedule for this yet.

Pay: $30–$50 per hour, based on experience, class type, and responsibilities.

$30–$35/hr For newer instructors, co-teachers, or those leading beginner-level or introductory classes.

$35–$45/hr For instructors with prior teaching experience who are leading classes independently, teaching multi-week series, or working with intermediate students.

$45–$50/hr For highly experienced instructors teaching advanced, specialty, or high-demand classes.
