Call for Ceramic Workshop Instructors
Are you a creative and knowledgable ceramic artist with teaching experience looking for an exciting opportunity to share your skills? Vallejo Clay Workshop invites experienced ceramic artists to lead engaging, hands-on workshops and classes that will inspire and educate our community. This is a fantastic chance to showcase your expertise, connect with fellow artists, and contribute to a vibrant artistic environment.

Requirements for Applicants:

Teaching Experience: Must have prior experience teaching or leading workshops in ceramics. Experience with hands-on instruction is preferred.

Technical Expertise: Proficiency in the technique(s) you intend to teach, with a clear ability to demonstrate and explain these techniques effectively.

Engagement: Ability to create an engaging and supportive learning environment for participants of various skill levels.

Materials: Provide a list of required materials and tools for the workshop, and be prepared to bring any specialized equipment or supplies needed.
Application Process:

Submit a Proposal: Send us a detailed workshop outline that includes:

A brief introduction of yourself and your artistic background. This can be a website link.

A written breakdown of the technique(s) you plan to teach.

A description of the demonstration and hands-on practice components.

Specify type of workshop: 1 day, 2 day, 2 hours for 5 days, 1 day a week for 1 month...etc

Any special materials or tools required for the workshop.

Portfolio: Include a portfolio of your recent work and any relevant teaching experience. This can be a website link and IG account link.

References: Provide contact information for at least two references who can speak to your teaching abilities and artistic skills.

Benefits:

Compensation: $500 - $1000 per day depending on experience, clay, support materials and use of equipment.

All proposals are reviewed as they come in. Selected artists will be contacted for further details and scheduling. Please note that we plan 3-6 months in advance.

1 day Weekend Workshops from 10-4pm with a focus on new or refined techniques.
