Upcoming date:
Sunday, October 12, 3-5 PM
Instructor: Maritza Dominguez
Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) is celebrated on November 1–2 as a time to honor and remember our departed loved ones. One of its most iconic symbols is the calavera (skull), representing both death and the reminder that it is a natural part of life.
Join our wonderful instructor, Maritza Dominguez, for a joyful evening of creating your own clay calavera. You’ll start with a hollow ball of clay and transform it into a skull shape, then decorate it with colorful underglazes, clay flowers, beads, and any other embellishments your imagination inspires.
No clay experience? No problem! Maritza will be there to guide you through the process and offer creative prompts if you need inspiration. You’ll have access to clay slabs, cutters in the shapes of flowers, butterflies, leaves—even mustaches—and extra soft clay for sculpting additional decorations. Each calavera will be a unique, one-of-a-kind tribute.
Please note: This is a single date event. You will receive a confirmation email for your purchase, but we we are unable to send out reminders before the event. Please mark your calendar when you book this class so you don’t miss it. We cannot offer refunds or rescheduling for last minute cancelations or no shows.
Refund and cancellation policy: If you are unable to attend class, you can change to another class up to 3 days before class. There are no refunds. You are also welcome to gift your class to another person. Please note you can only change to another class once. There are no refunds or rescheduling for no-shows.
