In this fun 2-hour pottery workshop, we'll guide you through the process of handcrafting your own unique animal-inspired ceramic pot. From molding the clay to adding carved and painted details, we'll explore various techniques to bring your chosen creature to life in clay form. These adorable pots make perfect homes for pencils, paintbrushes, toothbrushes, or even petite plants!
 
Students will be provided with pre-rolled clay slabs and extra clay, and will be led through a demonstration on how to create a container using a template, and techniques on attaching clay parts and tips on decorating. Students will then be set free to make their containers with the instructor on hand for guidance, and paint them with colored underglaze.
 
Pots will be fired and be ready for pickup in 3-4 weeks.
 
Don't have any experience with clay? Don't worry! This class is good for beginners and more experienced potters alike. 
 
Open to ages 14 and up. Under 14 may enroll with an adult.
